Destination stories that make people curious
I’m Andy, the creator and host of Andy the Chonk and Curious Chonk.
Through Curious Chonk, I explore the stories, people, traditions, history and experiences that make a place worth discovering.
I work with destinations, attractions and organisations when there’s a story that genuinely fits the show.
A typical collaboration includes
Every collaboration is different, but a standard Curious Chonk partnership usually includes:
I develop, research, host, film and edit the story. You help with destination priorities, useful local knowledge and access.
Paid collaborations are clearly disclosed, while my reactions, opinions and final storytelling remain my own.
What a Curious Chonk story looks like
Each episode follows a real place through the people, history, traditions and little details that make it interesting.
It’s not just about what there is to see. It’s about finding the story that makes people want to keep watching.
Why does a town keep an unusual tradition alive?
We dig into the history and meet the people who keep it going today.
How did an everyday object become a symbol of a whole region?
We follow the surprising stories behind familiar things.
What’s behind the doors visitors normally walk past?
We find the people, places and stories that don’t always make it into the guidebooks.
A small city. A story people watched.
CASE STUDY
My Curious Chonk episode about Sala followed the story of Sweden’s silver city, from the town above ground to the mine beneath it. The episode reached a strongly local audience and showed that a story about a relatively small destination can still travel far beyond the people already following my channel.

LET’S WORK TOGETHER
Have a place people should discover?
Tell me about the destination, attraction or experience you represent, what you’d like people to discover, and when you’d like to reach them.
If it feels like a good fit, we can talk about the story, access, timing and budget.
